OUR MICRISTAR IS DISPLAYING A "PE01" ERROR. DO WE NEED TO SEND IT IN FOR REPAIR?

Not necessarily. Try the following
- Remove the Auto Restart jumper (contact input 9 to common on the rear terminal board), then power the unit up. If the error clears, then power cycle a few more times to verify that the error doesn’t return.
Note: Removing the Auto Restart jumper will remove all programs, alarm settings and PID (gain, reset, rate) settings and will be set back to factory default values, but the CF (configuration)codes will not change.

- Now put the jumper back on and power cycle the unit a few times. If the error doesn’t come back, it was probably something temporarily in memory that the unit didn’t like.

- If this does not correct your problem, or if the problem reoccurs, then it should be sent in for repair.
